Harmonic Flow-Abstract Art
Harmonic Flow-Abstract Art started out as a stand of Aspen Trees with a dirt road leading into it that I photographed in Flagstaff, AZ. When I first came to Sedona to pursue my art career. That was in 2003, and I’m still here, living my dream as a Sedona artist in this the most beautiful place on earth, in so many ways. Somehow the image morphed from there by changing smoothly from the stand of Aspens to another by small gradual steps along the way. It was so much fun dropping in colors of red and yellow along the way, to complete the abstract.

Then I turned this new wall art Harmonic Flow-Abstract Art of mine upside down, for some perspective, as to what I would do next. Whenever I paint, the brush just seems to have a mind all its own; I’m just holding onto it. Then this vision came to me of a bird dipping its beak into the earth. Next came empowerment, blossoming into an energetic field of possibilities. What do you see in this painting?
If you look at my art, you’ll notice what comes to the forefront is that I paint and create in vivid and vibrant colors. The “trees” now vertical black & white columns, needed some color, so that’s what I added in next, splashing bright red, vibrant green and bits of yellow here and there.
Painting From My Essence
So, how do I get from a blank canvas with this Harmonic Flow-Abstract Art to a finished piece? I start by sitting quietly. Then I meditate and ask for guidance from my higher power. My inspiration comes from within, without much thought. I’m just the vessel for my true essence to come forward and surface. Staying out of the Ego, of course, is paramount for this creative process to work.
