Watercolor was my first medium to use when I started painting in the ’90s. Before becoming a whimsical Sedona artist, Gordon Haas, my mentor suggested that I outline the images with a black line to give them more “POP”! He recommended this, along with going back into each color repeatedly with more and more pigment to bring out the vibrancy of the landscape images. What you see below is the effect of this technique. Pretty cool, huh? Discover my contemporary Sedona Art Landscapes.
