Tribute to Vincent van Gogh

Tribute to Vincent van Gogh  (1853 – 1890) was one of the most well, known and prolific artists of the Post-Impressionism era, producing over 2,100 works of art in a ten-year span (860 oil paintings and more than 1,300 watercolors, drawings and sketches), without any formal training.   In his later works, vivid color became the most significant vehicle for expressing his artistic gifts, finding its peak only in the last two years of his life.

Inspired by Van Gogh’s later works

I started my career as an artist feeling drawn to work with vivid colors in my early years of painting. As a contemporary Sedona artist, I love creating images of the skies and the red rocks of Sedona. What you see here were done using both hands simultaneously in a workshop with artist/teacher Bonnie Hartenstein here in Sedona, AZ.

Each of these southwest landscape paintings is available in wall art that includes: canvas art prints, metal wall art, and fine art paper prints.

If you hear a voice within you, say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.
